Poetry – Snowflake

snow falls softly

on the surface

settles there

flake by flake

buffering the noise

within

my chin tilts

downward

my eyelids close

exhale…

resting without

a sound

snowflakes fall

flake by flake

all around me.

Poetry – beauty

caress me softly

sweet breeze

upon my face

this one swollen tear

rolls slowly

gently

down my neck

Let the things

I can not control

flow through my hair

into the wind

behind me

Restoring calm

breathing in

the beauty

around me

Poetry – I sit

I sit

at my window

watching

the snow fall

on the city below

there’s a

softness

about the morning

all the edges

blurred

there’s comfort

in knowing

that the harshness

of the night

worn smooth

the morning sigh

caresses

my cheeks

& forehead

I am left

breathless

Poetry – Roots

Sometimes

we need to stop

and stand still

for a few moments.

Stretching downward

allowing your roots

to push deeper, wider

become stronger.

Only then can you

reach out with stability

and upward

without limits.

Smile, relax

and enjoy

the growth.

Poetry – Aurora

I lay flat in the cold…

a road made of ice.

Looking up into the darkness

as luminescent colours

dance above me.

Reaching up my arms,

tracing the colours

with my fingertips.

Painting the sky

and my mind with magic.
