Poetry – in the dark

waiting

in the dark…

below the grotty

street lamp

soft glow

blurred lines

I know

you’ll never come

but I can not

walk away

so I stand

waiting

in the dark…

for today

is not the day.

Poetry – Raindrops

a long awaited rain

trickles down

my forehead

water puddles

around my feet

scent of soil

and flowers

fills my senses

I close my eyes

sit down next to you

enjoying the rain

in that special place

inside my mind

where only you & I

can go together

it’s calm

for a moment…

Poetry – Patience

Sometimes

even the bravest

most beautiful hearts

lose their courage

then behave in

strange

unexpected ways

to conceal it.

Poetry – wildflowers

Each petal

a memory

soft

and supple

inhale

each scent

hear them

rustle

in the breeze

I want to lay

among

the wildflowers

basking

in their memory

their moment

filling my senses

my mind

my heart

the depths

of what

makes me

me
