Poetry – just sway

Close your eyes

Shift
your weight
side
to side…

and
sway.

Sway
like no one’s
watching.

Sway
to the rhythm
of your heart.

Sway
to your
hopes
and
dreams.

Sway
especially
when you feel
forgotten.

Just
sway…

Poetry – self awareness

I may not be perfect.

I may be unfinished.

I may not be

exactly where

I want to be.

But,

there are moments

when I think

this is who I am.

I am genuine,

authentic and raw.

I love that

about myself.

Never fear…

earth & water

help the flowers grow.

Poetry – Morning light

It’s simple

to just stand here

watching

the sun rise

over the rooftops

Reaching for that

first golden ray

it warms my skin

I look down

onto the street below

there he is

stirring up

the last

of the morning mist

Such pleasure

to be quiet

in the first

morning light.

Poetry

Swoosh
fresh air
fog lifted
haze blown
eyes open

Everything
suddenly vivid
senses alert
breathe deep
revived.
