Poetry – you you you

I listened while

she gently explained

the knowledge

of the sea…

you will become

much happier

when you realize

that if it is

not said to you

or given to you

it is not for you

you you you

ripple ripple ripple

slosh slosh slosh

the waters

always know

best best best

Poetry – The Trek

The wind

was fierce

it blew

with such force

I could barely stand.

I lay down

in the grasses

while it howled

and thrashed

against me.

I called out

to the clouds

until my voice

ran hoarse

my mouth dry.

Invigorated

rejuvenated

and ready

for the long trek

home.

Poetry – I am here

I can feel

the warm sun

through the wool

on my back,

the cool breeze

on my bare face,

taste the salty air

on my tongue.

I feel a refreshing

spray of water

each time I hear

a crashing wave.

I can feel the cold rock

and slick algae

beneath my feet.

I breathe

and exhale…

I am here.

Poetry

Birds chirp

wings beating

in the air

a chorus

of frogs below

squirrels chitter

wind rustling

through

last years leaves

reaching out

warm sun

cool breeze

firm yet sways

smooth papery

to touch

yet rough

against

my forehead

pause…

a moment.
