Poetry – Simply

She crouched down

at the foot of the sea

ripples lapped

at her hemline

arms wrapped

around her knees

she whispered

softly

almost

to herself

but mostly

to the sea

never enough…

I am

simply

never enough

she grows weary

presses her chin

to her knees

lifts herself up

stands facing the waters

breathes in the salt air

turns

continues

walking along

the shoreline

waves caressing

her feet

her ankles

and calves

enough no longer

has value

I simply

am.

Poetry – ripples

everything

we do

undulates

outward

look around

it can be seen

along the surface

of the waters…

what is it that

your ripples

send out

into the world?

Poetry – shadow of mine

I bend

sway

to rhythm

of the tide

take my hand

sweet breeze

caress my body

with the sands

of time

make me

love you

dear sunset

with each

ripple

lapping wave

frothy waters

upon my ankles

dance with me

shadow of mine

stay with me

never let go.

Poetry – you you you

I listened while

she gently explained

the knowledge

of the sea…

you will become

much happier

when you realize

that if it is

not said to you

or given to you

it is not for you

you you you

ripple ripple ripple

slosh slosh slosh

the waters

always know

best best best
