Poetry – in the dark

waiting

in the dark…

below the grotty

street lamp

soft glow

blurred lines

I know

you’ll never come

but I can not

walk away

so I stand

waiting

in the dark…

for today

is not the day.

Poetry – my fingers…

my fingers

motionless

barely touching

the keys

my body tingles

mind relaxes

breath slows

the world

around me

becomes fuzzy

and warm

it’s at that moment

that exact moment

just before

it begins…

Poetry – Patience

Sometimes

even the bravest

most beautiful hearts

lose their courage

then behave in

strange

unexpected ways

to conceal it.
