Poetry – words

there are times

that i just

fall in love

with the words

as they trickle down

from the sky

onto my forehead

cheeks and chest

as i passively delight

in the rippling touch

of every vowel

and consonant.

Poetry – tucked away but not forgotten

i whispered into the night

i told it stories of new

and dreams of old

i closed my eyes

held your hand

so very tightly

may there be a thousand moons

and a thousand rising suns

I will never let go

of the vision i had

tucked into the deepest

darkest corner

of my mind.

Poetry – touch

I reach with my fingers

caressing the space

around me

molding it

like clay

forming shapes

lovely and smooth

I can not unsee it

the beauty

it warms my heart

and sets me free

Poetry – Ask the Ocean

I ask the ocean

breathe in

taste the salt air

listen to the waves

crash upon the rocks

call out to the seabirds

the fish in the sea

sand beneath my feet

dampness of my dress

clinging to my body

squinting  searching

the horizon

I need something
