Poetry – Raindrops

a long awaited rain

trickles down

my forehead

water puddles

around my feet

scent of soil

and flowers

fills my senses

I close my eyes

sit down next to you

enjoying the rain

in that special place

inside my mind

where only you & I

can go together

it’s calm

for a moment…

Poetry – you you you

I listened while

she gently explained

the knowledge

of the sea…

you will become

much happier

when you realize

that if it is

not said to you

or given to you

it is not for you

you you you

ripple ripple ripple

slosh slosh slosh

the waters

always know

best best best

Poetry – the rain

biking home

from work today

I thought

what a privilege

to feel the rain

on my cheeks

the wind

billowing

my trousers

fresh air

in my lungs…

doesn’t matter

what you say

it felt great

and life is good.

Poetry – my fingers…

my fingers

motionless

barely touching

the keys

my body tingles

mind relaxes

breath slows

the world

around me

becomes fuzzy

and warm

it’s at that moment

that exact moment

just before

it begins…

Poetry – words

there are times

that i just

fall in love

with the words

as they trickle down

from the sky

onto my forehead

cheeks and chest

as i passively delight

in the rippling touch

of every vowel

and consonant.

Poetry – tucked away but not forgotten

i whispered into the night

i told it stories of new

and dreams of old

i closed my eyes

held your hand

so very tightly

may there be a thousand moons

and a thousand rising suns

I will never let go

of the vision i had

tucked into the deepest

darkest corner

of my mind.
