Poetry – Raindrops

a long awaited rain

trickles down

my forehead

water puddles

around my feet

scent of soil

and flowers

fills my senses

I close my eyes

sit down next to you

enjoying the rain

in that special place

inside my mind

where only you & I

can go together

it’s calm

for a moment…

Poetry – the rain

biking home

from work today

I thought

what a privilege

to feel the rain

on my cheeks

the wind

billowing

my trousers

fresh air

in my lungs…

doesn’t matter

what you say

it felt great

and life is good.

Poetry – City Rain

I stand

arms spread wide

eyes lifted

to the sky

my smile

widens

as the droplets

trickle down

my arms

and chest

settling

on the sidewalk

beneath me

the subtle taste

of city in the rain.
