Poetry – time

time

cradled me

in the palm

of his hand

looking up

i whispered

quietly

will you

hold me

just for

a little while?

time nodded

cupped his

fingers

gently

calmly

I curled up

tucked

into the

crevasses

of time’s

worn hands

as he carried me

across the threshold…

Poetry – time takes hold

time takes hold

bound by his grip

blind trust

firm squeeze

pupils dilated

scarcely

breathe

following

please

lead me

slowly

gently

shuffling

through

the darkness

into the light.

Poetry – free falling

It has lived

inside of me

for so many years…

I fall backward

free falling

into the story

inside myself…

time distorts

stretching

folding

in on itself

I almost

nearly

feel whole…

Poetry – time

She whispered cautiously

into the ear of time…

take me with you,

she breathed.

Time sat down beside her

and gently caressed her thigh…

move as I flow, my love,

and you will never be left behind.
