Poetry – Ask the Ocean

I ask the ocean

breathe in

taste the salt air

listen to the waves

crash upon the rocks

call out to the seabirds

the fish in the sea

sand beneath my feet

dampness of my dress

clinging to my body

squinting  searching

the horizon
